Mind in Northampton

Mind in Northampton was founded originally as the Northampton Association for Mental Health by a group of volunteers with a goal of providing community-based support to individuals and families affected by mental health issues while also promoting awareness of mental health problems in Northamptonshire. In 1993, NAMH changed its name to Northampton & District Mind to reflect its affiliation with the national Mind organisation, which campaigns for better mental health services and support across the UK. Today, Mind in Northampton is part of the Northamptonshire Mind network and has grown to incorporate a purpose-built Community Hub that enables us to provide a more extensive range of community-based groups and services.
